The Celtics have to work on Mother's Day, but many of them invited their respective mothers to the game, including Ray Allen.
Allen said that he invited his mother up from Orlando this past weekend, and she forbid him to leave the house on Saturday with the exception of going to practice so that she could spend some much-needed time with him.
He said that it is a tradition for him to invite his mother to his house on Mother's Day each year, and she gets to plan anything that she wants to do and he has to pay for it.
He said that is just fine with him because he can never make up for all of the sacrifices she made for him while he was growing up, and that she always enjoys watching him play so she never gets made at him when he has to work on Mother's Day.
