BOSTON -- Celtics All-Star guard Rajon Rondo (630 assists) enters tonight's game versus the Knicks just 12 assists shy of Bob Cousy's mark for the fifth most assists in a season in franchise history (642).

Rondo, who has 630 assists so far this season, earned the fourth-best tally for assists in a season last year when he handed out 659 dimes.

Cousy has the franchise all-time record for the most assists in a single-season. He handed out 715 assists during the 1959-60 season.

Rondo is also currently ranked fifth in franchise history for the most steals in a season with 156 which is just 11 steals shy of the franchise's all-time high of 167 set by Rick Fox during the 1996-97 season.
