-- In a shocking move, the Boston Celtics brought rookie guard Lester Hudson to Miami, had him participate in the team's morning shootaround on Wednesday, and then waived him later in the day.
The move came right before the deadline that the team had to guarantee his contract for the rest of the year.
If Hudson clears waivers, the Celtics could sign him to a 10-day contract. The 6-foot-3 guard appeared in 16 games for the Celtics this season and registered season-highs of six points and three assists against Philadelphia on November 3.
The second-round pick averaged 1.4 points per game. The Celtics roster now stands at 14 players.
