Nate Lovett of East Providence is Ivy League honoree

Brown punter Nate Lovett of East Providence is the Ivy League special teams player of the week for his play in the Bears' 14-7 overtime loss to Penn on Saturday.

The sophomore punted eight times for an average of 44.2 yards. He dropped three punts inside the 20 and one to the Penn 4-yard line. One of his punts went 73 yards, the seventh-longest in Brown history.

Lovett is averaging 38.8 yards punting this season.

Brown and Yale will battle for third place Saturday in New Haven. Each is 4-3, 2-2 in the league.
