Brown punter Nate Lovett of East Providence is the Ivy League special teams player of the week for his play in the Bears' 14-7 overtime loss to Penn on Saturday. The sophomore punted eight times for an average of 44.2 yards. He dropped three punts inside the 20 and one to the Penn 4-yard line. One of his punts went 73 yards, the seventh-longest in Brown history. Lovett is averaging 38.8 yards punting this season. Brown and Yale will battle for third place Saturday in New Haven. Each is 4-3, 2-2 in the league. |
