Brown's Paul Jasinowski is a finalist for prestigious football award

Offensive tackle Paul Jasinowski of Brown is one of 16 finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy as the top scholar-athlete in college football. The senior from Washington, D.C., will receive an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship. The Campbell Trophy winner, to be announced Dec. 8 in New York City by the National Football Foundation College Hall of fame, will receive a $25,000 scholarship.

Jasinowski is studying economics and urban studies, has a 3.70 GPA and is on the Ivy League honor roll. He plans to attend business school.

On the field Jasinowski is a two-time All-Ivy and this season is co-captain. Off the field he coordinates a weekly volunteer group for special needs students and the Vartan Gregorian Elementary School in Fox Point.

Nick Hartigan was Brown's last NFF Scholar-Athlete in 2005.
