-- Ray Allen left Celtics practice on Saturday after getting unintentionally elbowed just above the left eye by Kendrick Perkins. Allen received stitches at the Celtics training facility in Waltham. He is not expected to miss any games. Tony Allen, meanwhile, who is recovering from ankle surgery and also has a sore right knee, is not expected to be ready by Tuesday's season opener, Boston coach Doc Rivers said, and he is not sure if Brian Scalabrine (right ankle sprain) will be ready either. Glen Davis has been battling recent back pain but Rivers said that he will be ready to play against Cleveland on Tuesday as will Kevin Garnett (right knee). |
