-- Celtics forward Glen Davis injured his thumb Sunday night in an off-the-court incident and is out indefinitely. The Boston Globe is reporting that it is a right thumb injury, citing an unnamed source, and it occurred in an altercation with his friend. Davis was reportedly defending himself against a former teammate who was visiting from Louisiana. . He might need surgery. Davis, who re-signed with the Celtics in the offseason, is heading into his third season in Boston. He averaged 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game off the bench last season, but those totals spiked to 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in the playoffs, when he was a starter filling in for the injured Kevin Garnett |
