Welcome to the TD Banknorth Garden where the Boston Celtics are set to tip-off against the Charlotte Bobcats.
This will be the home opener for the Celtics (1-0) and the Bobcats (0-0) season debut.
Boston coach Doc Rivers said thatt the Bobcats have two very talented guards in Raymond Felton and D.J. Augustin who the Celtics will have to deal with, while Boston backup forward Shelden Williams said that he will be prepared to play a larger role for the Celtics over the next six weeks while Glen Davis recovers from a broken right thumb.
Charlotte coach Larry Brown, meanwhile, said that his former player and current Celtic, Rasheed Wallace is the ultimate team player and that the coaches love him and Wallace's teammates love him.
One interesting note -- the Celtics are 85-24 since the beginning of the 2007-08 season when they have their starting lineup intact (Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and Kendrick Perkins).
In the 109 games that this unit has started together, they are outscoring their opponents by 9.6 points (100.1-90.5) and holding their opponents to 41.9 percent shooting from the field.
The Celtics have posted a 46-9 record at home and a 39-15 mark on the road in those 109 games.
