-- Boston coach Doc Rivers said that he held superstar forward Kevin Garnett out of 75 percent of the team drills in the Celtics' opening day of training camp on Tuesday, but on Wednesday, Garnett played the entire practice.

"Kevin looked great," Rivers said. "He went through the entire practice, which is good."

When asked if he took Garnett out of any part of practice, Rivers said, "Not once. He went through the whole thing."

Garnett said that his surgically repaired right knee is between 85 and 90 percent of where it was before he hurt it on Feb. 19 in Utah.

"When I get out and sprint I really can't [get going] like I really want to, but each day I can honestly say that I'm getting better and better," Garnett said.
