Los Angeles scored a run in the ninth inning on a walk, a sacrifice and a bloop single to beat the Red Sox, 4-3, at Fenway Thursday night. Howie Kendrick, who had homered earlier, hit a blooper jsut over the outstretched glove of Dustin Pedroia to score pinch-runner Terry Efans with the winning run. The result snapped Boston's seven-game winning streak and 10-game winning streak at Fenway. The Sox led 3-1 after getting a solo home run from Jacoby Ellsbury and two-run blast by Jason Bay, both in the fourth inning. |
