Lincoln hit four home runs, including two from Alec Cronan, en route to a 14-3 victory over Maine in the New England Regional Little League Baseball World Series on Friday at Bristol, Conn.

Cronan hit a two-run homer in the second inning and a grand slam in the third as Lincoln led 8-0 after 2 1/2 innings. Teammates Brian Jannetti and Jake Petrin each had solo homers. Another big hit for Lincoln came off the bat of Brandon Yee, who smacked a three-run triple in the fourth inning.

Starting pitcher Jeff Sheehan went four innings for Lincoln. The game was called after five innings because of the mercy rule. Lincoln will have an off-day on Saturday and return to action at 2 p.m. on Sunday for its second game of pool-play against Massachusetts.
