The Lincoln Little Leaguers are one game away from advancing to represent New England in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

Lincoln routed Brattleboro, of Vermont, 14-3 in the regional semifinal Friday night. Tyler Duquette pitched a six-inning complete game with seven strikeouts; Duquette added a home run and five RBI.

The Rhode Islanders got off to a rough start, committing four errors in the first three innings. Brattleboro led 3-0 entering the fourth. But Samuel Brito's solo home run to lead off the top of the fourth put Rhode Island on the board against Brattleboro starter Chris McAuliffe. Rhode Island scored again in the fourth on a bases-loaded wild pitch by McAuliffe, and Ryan Fournier's two-run single put Lincoln on top, 4-3.

Lincoln added 10 runs in the final two frames, doing almost all of the damage after McAuliffe had left the game after exceeding his pitch limit. Duquette's three-run homer in the top of the sixth plated the final runs for Lincoln. Fournier finished with four RBI.

Lincoln will face Massachusetts' Peabody Western, which has won all five of its games so far and beat Lincoln, 10-8, in the preliminary round. The game is at 2 p.m. Saturday and can be seen on ESPN.
