FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Kheli Dube scored three goals to give the New England Revolution a 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Sunday night. Dube scored his first goal in the ninth minute, when he converted a low cross from midfielder Mauricio Castro. The Zimbabwean forward followed 20 minutes later when he knocked in a rebound after Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando made a diving save on Michael Videira. Dube, a finalist for MLS Rookie of the Year after scoring four goals last year, completed the first hat trick of his career in the 67th, as he flicked a cross by Shalrie Joseph into the back of the net. RSL got a consolation goal with five minutes to play when forward Pablo Campos' header in front of the net ricocheted off defender Darrius Barnes and past goalkeeper Matt Reis. |
