UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut Sun forward Tamkia Whitmore plans to undergo knee surgery and is expected to be sidelined for about three weeks.
Whitmore missed Saturday's game against Detroit with bone spurs in her right knee, ending a streak of 204 consecutive games played.
Arthroscopic surgery to remove the spurs is scheduled for Tuesday. Whitmore had had been averaging 6.6 points in 10 games with the Sun this season.
