Singles have joined doubles at the Hall of Fame

More than five hours after the scheduled start, they're finally playing singles as well as doubles at the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.

Rajeev Ram of the U.S. and Alejandro Falla of Colombia are in the first set of their first-round match on Court 2. Seventh-seeded Kevin Kim of the U.S. and Sebastien Grosjean of France are about to resume their first-round match on the Stadium Court. Grosjean won the first set, 6-4, on Wednesday.

Tournament officials are trying to complete the first round Thursday. Eighth-seeded Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine and Frank Dancevic of Canada and Olivier Rochus of Belgium and ALexander Peya of Austria have yet to start their matches. Two-time defending champion Fabrice Santoro of France and Flavio Cipolla of Italy will resume at 3-3 in the first set of their match. Richard Mello of Brazil leads Samuel Groth of Australia 3-0 in the second set. Groth won the first set, 7-5.

Both second-round and quarterfinal matches may be scheduled for Friday.
