Providence College has just announced that it will be extending the contracts of basketball coach Keno Davis and athletic director Bob Driscoll through 2016.
Davis has coached one year at PC and led the Friars to the NIT. Driscoll has been at PC for eight years.
More on this in a bit but here is the release...
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College men's basketball coach Keno Davis has signed a new contract that will run through the 2015-16 season. It also was announced that Athletic Director Bob Driscoll has signed a contract extension through the 2015-16 season.
'"With Keno's coaching and recruiting skills and Bob's leadership, I believe our athletic department is as strong as ever," Providence College President Rev. Brian Shanley said. "I felt it was necessary to make a long-term commitment to Keno and Bob to ensure the success of the athletic department, including our flagship program -- men's basketball."
