The agent for Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo last night responded to critical comments made by team general manager Danny Ainge on WEEI's Dennis and Callahan show. In an interview with Marc Spears of The Boston Globe, Bill Duffy said it was not appropriate for Ainge to go public with any past frustrations he might have had with Rondo.

"I am just surprised that Danny is speaking, even if he considers it constructively, in a public setting [about Rondo]. I don't think that it's appropriate to say that about one of your top players. Even if it's spoken constructively, I don't think it should be done in public. I don't think [Ainge] would like it if [Celtics managing partner] Wyc [Grousbeck] was talking about him in public."

Duffy told Spears that he has not requested a trade, and that he has been assured by Ainge that the Celtics are not planning to move Rondo before tonight's NBA Draft.

I agaree that Danny should of zipped his lips about Rondo. Just imagine if Rondo had been a real problem, like drugs, missing practice.... etc.what would he be saying then. Also I think Danny has forgotton how important Rondo was to the team, maybe Danny you don't deserve to win another championship.
