With the weather forecast as ominous as it is, you'd think the Pawtucket Red Sox' Friday night game against the Louisville Bats would be in jeopardy. But the PawSox say they're going to make every effort to play, for three reasons:

1. It's the last scheduled game of the season between Louisville and Pawtucket, and there'd be no chance to make it up.

2. John Smoltz is scheduled to pitch on rehab assignment for the PawSox, and Boston would like him to stay on schedule.

3. It's Bat Night at McCoy, and a big crowd is anticipated.

So the PawSox may wait longer than usual to make a decision on whether or not to play. Stay tuned.
