URI's Jimmy Baron took part in a predraft workout at the New Jersey Nets' practice facility and drew compliments from Knicks and Nets officials

"He can really shoot the ball. And he's a good player. He knows what he's doing," Knicks president Donnie Walsh said.

"He competes. He's a guy you can count on every day," said Nets GM Kiki Vandeweghe.
