BOSTON (AP) -- Boston Celtics guard Tony Allen had surgery on his right ankle and leg and the team is calling it a success.

He's expected to recover from the Wednesday surgery in time for training camp this fall.
Allen averaged 7.8 points per game last season, when he missed 34 of the last 47 regular season games with the ankle injury.
