Senior shortstop Dan Rhault of the University of Rhode Island has been named the Atlantic 10 Baseball Player of the Year in voting conducted among the league's head coaches. Rhault, of Lincoln, leads URI in eight different offensive categories, including batting average (.393), runs batted in (57), slugging percentage (.667), on-base percentage (.466) and multi-hit games (23). Rhault has hit three grand slams this year. Joining Rhault on the All-Conference first team is URI's Eric Smith. Oliver Palmer and Luke Demko were selected to the second team. Palmer was named to the Academic All-Conference TEam. URI's Milan Adams and Mike LeBel were named to the All-Rookie team. |
