| Rays 5, Red Sox 3: Runnin' Rays continue to frustrate the Sox »
Clay Buchholz struck out six batters in 5 2/3 innings of scoreless ball as the Pawtucket Red Sox beat the Gwinnett Braves, 1-0, on Sunday at McCoy Stadium. Buchholz gave up just two hits, and also walked two in the outing. Pawtucket manufactured its only run in the fourth inning, when Chip Ambres' RBI single brought home Sean Danielson, who had singled and advanced to second and then third on a pair of wild pitches by Gwinnett starter Charlie Morton. Morton struck out 10 PawSox batters in 7 innings of two-hit ball. The worst news for the PawSox involved rehabbing outfielder Mark Kotsay, who left the game after straining his calf in his second at-bat.
