University of Rhode Island sophomore Jeff Cammans of Jamestown is the Atlantic 10 co-player of the week for the period ending May 3. It is the first such recognition of his career. The North Kingstown High School alum had 10 hits, among them two doubles and two home runs, and extended his hitting streak to eight games.He scored five runs, drove in five runs and stole three bases. A first baseman, he handled 38 chances without an error.

URI (32-15-1, 17-3) is in first place in the A-10 and will play a weekend series at Massachusetts.
