Nine months after it started, the Providence Bruins season is over.

The Hershey Bears beat Providence, 5-2, at The Dunkin Donuts Center Monday afternoon to win the Eastern Conference finals, four games to one.

Hershey now plays the winner of the Houston-Manitoba series for the Calder Cup.

Andrew Gordon, Alexandre Giroux, Chris Bourque, Darren Reid and Quintin Laing scored for Hershey.

Brad Marchand and Mikko Lehtonen were the Providence goal-scorers.

Michal Neuvirth made 27 saves for Hershey; Tuukka Rask stopped 33 shots for Providence.
