Jeff Pearlman, author of The Rocket That Fell to Earth: Roger Clemens and the Rage for Baseball Immortality, was spectacularly unimpressed by Roger Clemens' interview this morning on ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike In The Morning. Pearlman shared some thoughts on his own blog. "Clemens was a joke," wrote Pearlman. "Blathering, babbling, inane, nonsensical. He is perhaps the worst interview in the history of organized sports--and that's in the context of postgame quotes on the Tiger-Yankees game. Here, with PHDs, he's just outclassed." Then, in an interview on the blog BWB, he stated further: "Look, there's no secret and no doubt: The man cheated, then lied before Congress. Odds of his innocence: 0 percent. So it continues to blow me away that he feels the need to keep the fraud rolling." |
