Cox Providence Rhode Races and Special Race Coverage to Air on Cox Sports

West Warwick, RI - Cox Sports (Cox Channel 3) will air live coverage of the Cox Providence Rhode Races from the finish line of the Cox Sports Marathon on Sunday, May 3 at 10 a.m.

Hosted by Steve McDonald and two-time Olympian Amy Rudolph, the 90-minute special will feature event-day coverage of the Cox Sports Marathon, Willow Tree Half Marathon, and the 5K run and walk. On the sidelines, Mike Rubin will offer perspectives from race participants and spectators.

Several special features will augment the races, including segments on the Narragansett Running Club, the Rhode Races support of local environmental awareness, and brothers Mark and Jay Kruger, - contestants during the 2008 season of NBC's The Biggest Lose,r who will be running this year's half marathon.

Coverage will also feature interviews with Henry Rono, who broke four world distance-running records in 81 days, and Paul Cronin, senior vice president and general manager of Cox New England. Rono will discuss his upcoming book Olympic Dream, while Cronin will speak to Cox's commitment to making a positive impact in the community through volunteerism, partnerships, and philanthropy.
