Brian Shanley has resigned as men's tennis coach at Salve Regina University after 14 years, a 175-76-1 record, 10 Commonwealth Coast Conference championships and eight coach of the year awards. The Seahawks were 10-10 this spring.

Salve Regina announced the move in a terse statement Monday night.

Efforts to reach Shanley Tuesday were unsuccessful. He also is Salve Regina's associate director of admissions.
