Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is making rapid progress in his rehabilitation from hip surgery and a team official believes he could be back on a major-league field before the end of April, according to The New York Post. Hitting coach Kevin Long told The Post that Rodriguez has begun to hit and feels about 70 percent of normal. Rodriguez is doing rehab in Vail, Colo. He's expected to move to the Yankees' minor-league complex in Tampa, Fla., within the next 10 days. The Yankees have stated for the record that they hope to have Rodriguez back in action by mid-May. |
