URI's Jimmy Baron may have fallen short in his bid to win the NCAA 3-point shootout last night at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Mich., but he did leave a lasting impression last night with his amazing pass to Charlie Coley III in the slam-dunk competition.
Coley, a fellow A-10 guy from Charlotte, picked up a perfect score of 50 for the dunk, in which he grabbed a perfect bounce pass from Baron, who was camped out well up in the stands to Coley's right side. Coley got to do the post-dunk posing, but Baron got a lot of the praise for the play, which was number four this morning on ESPN SportsCenter's Top Plays. Click here for a video of the dunk, plus other highlights from last night's pre-Final Four event.
Coley ended up finishing second in the contest, behind New Mexico's Tony Dandridge. His prize was the World Wrestling Federation-esque championship belt pictured at right.
