ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- This year's Hobey Baker award winner will have a Boston accent.

Defenseman Matt Gilroy and forward Colin Wilson, both of Frozen Four favorite Boston University, are candidates. They're joined by Northeastern goalie Brad Thiessen as finalists for the title of college hockey's top player.

The Minnesota-based Hobey Baker Memorial Award Foundation made the announcement on Thursday. The winner will be picked at the Frozen Four on April 10 in Washington.

Boston was ranked first in the nation for most of the season, and is the top seed for next weekend's national semifinals.

Fellow Hockey East conference foe Northeastern advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1994.
