What T.O. can maybe accomplish in Buffalo

Does Terrell Owens make the Buffalo Bills, who have gone nine consecutive seasons without a postseason berth, an upper-echelon team in the AFC? Probably not. But what might Owens finally be able to do that Buffalo has not gotten done in a very long time? Just maybe, he can give the Bills a victory over the New England Patriots.

Buffalo has lost 11 consecutive games to the Patriots, including last season's finale at windy Ralph Wilson Stadium. But with Owens on the team, the Bills now boast one of the NFL's most explosive wide receiving duos, with T.O. lining up opposite Lee Evans.

Evans has not had much success in his career against the Patriots, but handling both Evans and Owens will surely be a test for the Patriots' secondary -- though we admittedly don't know exactly what that secondary will look like next season. The bigger questions are how Owens and Evans will work together, and whether the Bills' quarterback situation improves over the second half of last season.

If Trent Edwards can build on the promise that he showed very early in the season, before his October concussion, then perhaps Owens and Evans can rival Randy Moss and Wes Welker as a dynamic receiving duo.
