The University of Rhode Island baseball team shutout nationally-ranked Miami, 3-0, today at Coral Gables, Fla. Miami is ranked eighth in the latest USA Today/ESPN Top 25 coaches' poll. Rhody pitcher Eric Smith tossed eight complete innings and gave up just three hits. Luke Demko came on in the ninth to close out the victory. Click here for the game story.
