BOSTON -- Ray Allen and Doc Rivers have been following both the men's and women's NCAA tournaments very closely.

Boston's star shooting guard went to UCONN and the Huskies own a top seed in both the men's and women's brackets.

"We're trying to go for the trifecta," Allen said, adding the Celtics to the mix. "We did it in 2004. The women are definitely really strong and their biggest foe [Tennessee] got knocked out the other day. I think the parity in women's basketball is starting to grow a little bit...

"With the men that's tough because anybody can [beat them]. All you have to do is have an off night."

Rivers, a Marquette alum, was disappointed that the Golden Eagles got beat by Missouri over the weekend.

"That was a harsh loss," Rivers said. "We had our chances. That's all I'm saying."
