Absence hasn't made the heart grow fonder, at least when it when to Manny Ramirez and his feelings towards Boston. At his welcome-back press conference with the Dodgers on Thursday, Ramirez took some not-so-veiled shots at his former employer/place of business. "I'm in a happy place, where I wanted to be," he said. "Actually, I won. I won getting out of [Boston], because I'm in a great place. "Sometimes it's better off to have a two-year deal in a place that you're going to be happy than have an eight-year deal in a place that you're going to suffer." |
