Barrington's Brett Quigley equalled the highest finish in his PGA Tour career today when he tied for second in the Puerto Rico Open at the Trump International Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Quigley had the best score of any of the contenders in the final round, a 5-under 67 that included five birdies in his last 10 holes. The Rhode Island Country Club product began the day four strokes off the lead. When he birdied the 18th hole, he was tied for the tournament lead wiht Michael Bradley. Bradley, playing behind Quigley, rolled in an 11-foot birdie putt on the last hole to win by one. Young Australian star Jason Day also birdied the 18th and tied Quigley for second. The event was played opposite a World Golf Championship event in Miami, so the purse was $3.5 million. Quigley earned $308,000 to get to $426,000 on the year.
