Jon Lester gave up four runs on 11 hits through six inning and was tagged with the loss as the Pawtucket Red Sox dropped a 5-2 decision to the Rochester Red Wings Tuesday in an exhibition game at Fort Myers, Fla. Bryce Cox pitched the seventh for the PawSox and gave up a run on three hits. Dustin Richardson worked the final two innings without giving up a run and allowed just one hit. Pawtucket got its runs on two solo home runs by Jason Varitek and Jorge Jiminez. Teammate Zach Daeges went 2-for-3 with a single and double. |
