Hendricken and Mount St. Charles meet tonight in the first game of their best-of-three boys hockey championship series (it's the 16th time in the last 29 years that the two have met in the finals). The game is at 7:30 at Schneider Arena; Game 2 is tomorrow night at 7:30, and a decisive Game 3 would be Sunday at 7:30. The matchup looks to be as even as they come. In three regular-season games between the Mounties and the Hawks, each team won once, and a third meeting resulted in a tie. The Mounties' loss was its only setback in a 16-1-1 league season; Hendricken finished second at 15-2-1. We've been asking readers at HSGameTime to pick the winner of the series, and the poll is about as close as can be as well. There have been 433 votes cast so far, and 228, or 52.7 percent, are picking Hendricken to win the series. The poll remains open if you want to vote.
