The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's basketball team will play in the NCAA Division III Sectionals at the Mayser Center at Franklin and Marshall University in Lancaster, Pa. this weekend. The Corsairs will play DeSales, while Franklin and Marshall will play Salem State Friday night. The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Corsairs, who defeated Baruch, 82-72, and host WPI, 81-68 last weekend, are one of three teams that advanced after winning regionals on the road. Franklin and Marshall hosted last weekend's regional playoffs, and advanced by defeating Wesley, 93-69, and Brandeis, 65-63. DeSales defeated St. Joseph's of Long Island, 86-78, and Ithaca, 77-71. Salem State defeated the Rochester Institute of Technology, 83-71, and host Widener, 69-67.
