Baseball fans have the Manny Ramirez watch. For hockey fans, it's the Sean Avery watch. Some hockey fans, anyway. Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News says that Avery has nearly completed his anger management therapy and could receive approval to return to the NHL as early as Monday. Read about it here. Meanwhile, Larry Brooks of the New York Post says the New York Rangers are looking into acquiring Avery and then sending him to Hartford of the AHL for a couple of weeks of conditioning before bringing him back to Broadway. Read the story here. What are the chances of Avery visiting The Dunk during his time with Hartford? Slim and none. The Providence Bruins don't host the Wolf Pack again until March 22, by which time Avery will probably be back in the NHL or suspended again. |
