Looks like the goal crease at Providence College could be crowded come fall.

Goaltender Russ Stein of the Boston Junior Bruins of the Eastern Junior Hockey League has committed to Providence College for this fall, according to ushr.com.

Stein, who is from Ridgefield, Conn., will be 20 years old in September. He leads the EJHL in goals against (1.94) and save percentage (.935).

The Friars currently have four goalies on their roster.

Senior Chris Mannix won't be back next year.

Freshman Alex Beaudry joined the team in January and has played well.

The other goalies on the current roster are freshman Justin Gates of Cranston, and often-injured junior Ryan Simpson.
