It may be freezing outside, but it's a sure sign that spring is coming when the 18-wheeler leaves Fenway Park for Fort Myers, Fla. And that will happen at 1 o'clock today, as the Red Sox move their equipment to Florida to prepare for the start of spring training. The truck will also carry a box of e-mail printouts containing fans' wishes for a good season from the Sox in 2009.
Reporting day for Red Sox pitchers and catchers is Thursday, and workouts begin two days later.
Photographer Gretchen Ertl is on scene at Fenway as packing continues, and she'll have video of the event later today at projosports.com.
