--- That didn't last long.

According to the Boston Globe, the Boston Celtics traded seldom used center Patrick O'Bryant to Toronto for point guard Will Solomon, citing an unnamed league source, shortly before the 3 p.m. trade deadline.

The report also indicated that a second-round pick and cash considerations were expected to be involved as well.

But the Globe reported that a little more than an hour later, the Celtics sent Solomon, 30, who is averaging 4.9 points and 3.2 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game this season, to the Sacramento Kings for a conditional second-round draft pick.

The source says that the deal is a three-team swap.

The Celtics now have two open spots on their roster.
