Freshman goaltender Ian Giutarri has been named HSGameTime Athlete of the Week after two superb performances over the weekend. Giutarri made 40 saves, including six in overtime, as Pilgrim held first-place Cumberland to a 1-1 Division II deadlock Friday night. The following evening, he had 23 stops as the Patriots, who started the league season with four straight loses, improved their record to 3-4-1 with a 2-1 victory over Tolman. The HSGameTime Game of the Week is Thursday night's girls basketball game pitting South Kingstown (3-0 league, 6-1 overall) against defending champion La Salle (5-0, 6-1).
