ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - An official says a New York Assembly committee investigating the use of millions of dollars in public funding to build the new Yankee Stadium has issued subpoenas to the team's president and an official with the city economic development office.

The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the subpoenas haven't been announced.

The subpoenas compel Yankees president Randy Levine and Seth Pinsky of the city Economic Development Corp. to attend a hearing Wednesday. Pinsky's group is helping the team get public funding.

A Levine spokeswoman says he has been told he would be subpoenaed but hasn't yet received it. There was no immediate comment from Pinsky's spokeswoman.
