| Celtics-Wizards in-game update: Boston up by 24 at halftime »
BOSTON -- Washington coach Ed Tapscott said before the game that he knew the Celtics were an "angry team" after having gone 1-3 on their recent road trip. But the Wizards apparently weren't prepared for just how focused Boston would be. The Celtics are up, 28-14, after one quarter of play. They are shooting 63.2 percent from the field (12-for-19) and holding Washington to just 36.8 percent shooting from the floor (7-for-19). Paul Pierce has knocked down all five of his shots and has 13 points. Rajon Rondo has five points and seven assists. Caron Butler returned to Washington's lineup tonight after missing the last three games with an ankle injury and he leads the Wizards with four points. Washington forward Andray Blatche went down with an apparent leg injury midway through the first quarter and he has returned to start the second quarter. |
