Warwick's Tom Cavanagh called up by NHL's Sharks

Former Toll Gate All Stater Tom Cavanagh of Warwick has been recalled by the San Jose Sharks.

Cavanagh, 26, leading the Worcester Sharks of the AHL in goals this season with 9 in 21 games.

The 6 foot, 200 pound right wing made his NHL debut with San Jose last season on April 3 at Los Angeles. He recorded an assist just 36-seconds into the game, becoming the fourth fastest player to record a point in his debut since 1989-90.

Cavanagh was drafted by San Jose in the sixth round of the 2001 NHL Draft. He played for four years at Harvard.
