PROVIDENCE -- It was quite a Big East opener for the Providence College Friars.

After falling behind 11-0 in the game's opening minutes, the Friars outscored St. John's by 32 points the rest of the way and defeated the Johnnies, 75-54, this afternoon at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

PC will play its next game Saturday at The Dunk against DePaul.
