Brad Adamonis has hung on to maintain full playing privileges on the PGA Tour for next year, but Patrick Sheehan was not able to do so.

Despite missing the cut in the season-ending tournament at DisneyWorld, won today by Davis Love III, Cumberland's Adamonis finished 124th on the money list with $862,413. He began the week 120th. Barrington's Brett Quigley finished 120th with $878,216. He began the week 114th and missed the cut.

The top 125 maintain full playing privileges. Adamonis had dropped to 126th at points during the weekend, but got back to 124th when Jason Gore and Martin Laird had late problems. Laird finished 125th , with $842,752. Shane Bertsch was 126th , with $841,238.

Warwick's Sheehan began the week in 129th place and tied for 52nd . But it moved him up only one spot, to 128th, with $806,897. Those from 125 to150 maintain cards, but are more limited in their chances to play for next year. Sheehan could improve his position by going to tour qualifying school if he so chooses. He would have to attend only the final stage in December in California.

The second stage of the three-step process will be held in the next two weeks. One event this week has a number of area players taking part. That will be at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga., Nov. 12-15.

Tour veteran Billy Andrade is in that field. Andrade must qualify because he did not finish in the top 150 on the money list. He finished 193rd , with $243,490. Newport's Patrick Horgan III is in that field, too, as are part-time Rhode Island resident Len Mattiace, Olin Browne, a former winner of the Deutsche Bank Championship, Pleasant Valley's Fran Quinn, former Northeast Amateur champions Chris Nallen and Kyle Reifers and Jeff Curl, the winner of the last New England Pro Tour event held at Cranston Country Club.
