Multiple news outlets in New York City are reporting that the police went to the home of former New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas just after midnight this morning because of a report that someone had overdosed on sleeping pills. The Harrison police have confirmed that they did respond to the house, in Purchase, N.Y., but did not release any more details, including the identity of the person who was treated. Someone was transported to White Plains Hospital. The CBS TV affiliate in New York is reporting, based on an unnamed source, that Thomas was the overdose patient. Knicks team officials today told media that Thomas was doing fine, without providing any more information. The Knicks fired Thomas at the end of last season. |
