LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Louisville coach Rick Pitino says his team is hungry to get the Cardinals back to the Final Four. Pitino said Tuesday that the Cardinals got a taste of glory last year by reaching the Elite 8. The coach said that coming so close to the Final Four has driven his players during the off season. Louisville returns four starters from last year's team. Pitino said veterans like Edgar Sosa and Terrence Williams will have to help the young players like Samardo Samuels get ready for life in the rugged Big East. Pitino called the Big East perhaps the toughest conference from top to bottom that he's ever seen and says it will be difficult to duplicate last year's second-place finish. |
